Lets think about the word 'like' . Is it a word we use so often that it loses the true meaning of it entirely? What happens then? After the word loses its meaning, we are no longer able to use that word as a word we would use to compliment others. For eg. I say, " Hey, I like your dress. " You say you like it. But since LIKE is such a general word, what could it really mean? It could be just polite talk. Or it could be something that means much more. See, we use the word like when we think what the other party is doing is fair. Or could be Just a little to the good side. Get what I mean? In other words, when someone tells you, " I like your food" , we dont know for sure whether it is true or to what extent. Or whether the person even likes it in the 1st place. Isnt that the reason why we always ask, " sure????" after the statement?
